3D Touch is one of the momentous  features launch by Apple in its newly launched iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. 3D Touch allows you to perform a lot of operations in your iPhone in a whole new way. Using 3D Touch in your iPhone 6S or 6S Plus, you can quickly access all the home screen actions, peek and preview the messages or web links, launch the messages, animate photos, switch in between apps and keyboard. You can hard press on apps to perform their functions without even opening them. For example,  you can quickly shoot a selfie by hard pressing the Camera app. As 3D Touch is a new feature, a lot of iPhone users are confused about it. Apart from the confusions, many users have reported that 3D Touch is not working on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Let’s see how to fix 3D Touch not working in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus problem.

Fix 3D Touch Not Working in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus

It’s Not For all Apps

Firstly, you must understand that 3D Touch does not work for all the apps. If you are trying to use 3D touch for a specific app and it is not working, chances are that the app does not support the native feature. 3D Touch was made for selected apps.

Press Harder

Strange as it may sound by the best way to fix 3D touch not working in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus is to press harder. 3D Touch is a new feature altogether. We are used to soft taps and quick responses. But iPhone has evolved swiftly over the years. The only thing which differentiates between a normal touch and a 3D touch as far as the physical metrics are concerned is the intensity of touch. The pressure sensor would not register a 3D Touch unless you meet the threshold, which is quite large in 3D touch for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. So, yes, press harder and 3D touch will work just fine.

Change Settings

In order to fix 3D Touch problems in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, you should tweak the 3D touch settings. You can adjust sensitivity threshold for the 3D touch in these settings.

Go to Settings and open the “General” tab.

Now go to “Accessibility” and move on to the “3D Touch” section.

First, make sure that the toggle button for 3D touch is ON. Then you can change the sensitivity of the 3D touch to options like Firm, Medium and Light. I would suggest selecting the Light option first to check and confirm that the problem lies with touch pressure intensity.

Install All Updates

Your iPhone should have all the latest updates installed. In order to check for updates, go to Settings->General-> Software Update.

Clean the Screen

Make sure your iPhone screen is devoid of any dust particles or oil droplets. iPhone does not register a touch if the screen is full of dust particles. You can clean the screen with a tissue paper or a soft cloth and then try using the 3D touch.

Reset All Settings

Another solution to fix 3D touch not working in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus is to reset all settings. In many cases, the manual settings disturb the settings of native features. Resetting all the settings back to default could fix problems. And you can always change the settings according to your choice later. In order to reset the settings, follow these steps:

Launch Settings in your iPhone.

Go to General tab and head to the “Reset” option.

Now tap “Reset All Settings” option.

Reset iPhone

Resetting your iPhone is another option to try. You can reset your iPhone by pressing and holding Power Button and Home button together until you see a black screen with white Apple logo on it.

Remove Protector

If you have a protector on the screen, you should remove it and then try using the 3D Touch feature on iPhone 6S or 6S Plus. Many screen protectors become an impediment in the way of the finger and screen, thereby resulting in touch problems.

These are the solutions to fix 3D Touch not working in iPhone 6S, 6S Plus. In case nothing works, try contacting Apple support. 3D Touch is a new feature and most of the users still do not know how to use it properly. Make sure to try all the steps given below one by one as mentioned in order to fix the problem.

Don’t forget to share your feedback in comments.

Most of the Windows users have installed Windows 10 in their PCs by now. However, there are some issues which are yet to be resolved. Apps not working problem in Windows 10 is one of the major issues faced by users around the world. Apps not working in Windows 10 problem renders some apps dysfunctional. The apps don’t work, or keep getting stuck during their operation. Luckily, you can fix apps not working problem in Windows 10. Here are some of the common fixes to this problem.

Fix Apps Not Working Problem in Windows 10

Executing a command in PowerShell

Most of the users with the apps problem reported that many Metro apps like Settings, Weather, Start Menu, News etc. don’t work in Windows 10. Microsoft has addressed this problem, and provided a code which the users can easily run in the Windows Powershell terminal. Powershell is just like the command prompt.

  • Open Powershell in Windows 10 by typing “powershell” in the search bar of Windows. 10 and clicking the icon of the program.

  • Now copy paste the following code in the Powershell and execute it.

Apps Not Working Problem in Windows 10

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Note: You must be logged in your computer as “Administrator” otherwise the command would not work.

The above command actually “resinstalls” the Modern or Metro apps. The reinstallation process does not affect the data and settings of your apps, so no need to worry about that.

Now check the Metro apps and see if they are working or not. If apps not working in Windows 10 is still not fixed, move on to the next step.

Scanning for corrupt files

  • Open Windows Powershell and execute the following command.

sfc /scannow

  • The execution will take a few seconds or minutes. The result would either indicate that there were no integrity violations in the computer, or it would show that there were some corrupt files. If the result message says “Windows did not find any integrity violations”, this means that your problem is not in the corrupt files. But if the message says “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and repaired them”, this means that the problem was in fact in the files and now it should be fixed. But sometimes the scan would not fix the problem by itself and you will have to run a separate command to solve the problem. So in case the result of the command says “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them”, this means the problem is not solved.

  • In order to fix the corrupt files problem, execute the following command in Windows 10.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

This would fix the corrupt files issue and the apps will open just fine. If apps won’t open in Windows 10 even after this step, move on the next solutions.

Reset Your Computer

Resetting your Windows 10 system would be another fix to apps not working in Windows 10 problem. Resetting PC would restore your system back to the default settings. Your data will not be deleted and you can start afresh without much problem.

  • Type “Reset this PC” in click on the icon from the list as shown in the image below.

  • Click “Get Started”. You will be asked whether you want to keep your data or not. You can choose the option of your choice, but retaining the files will be the best option in most cases.

Fix This App Can’t Open Error

In some cases, when you click Windows 10 apps to open them, an error “This app can’t open” pops up, without much detail.

You can fix this problem by following the steps below.

  • Open Notepad
  • Copy, paste the following code in the notepad file.

echo off

net stop clipsvc

if “%1″==”” (

 echo ==== BACKING UP LOCAL LICENSES

 move %windir%\serviceprofiles\localservice\appdata\local\microsoft\clipsvc\tokens.dat %windir%\serviceprofiles\localservice\appdata\local\microsoft\clipsvc\tokens.bak

)

if “%1″==”recover” (

 echo ==== RECOVERING LICENSES FROM BACKUP

 copy %windir%\serviceprofiles\localservice\appdata\local\microsoft\clipsvc\tokens.bak %windir%\serviceprofiles\localservice\appdata\local\microsoft\clipsvc\tokens.dat

)

net start clipsvc

  • Now save the file with the name license.bat
  • Now uninstall the app which was not working.
  • Go to Windows store and install the app again.
  • The app would not work fine. The .bat file we saved kills the back-end license service, renames the cache, which helps the newly installed app working smoothly.

Reboot the System

Sometimes, a simple reboot will suffice. Restart your Windows 10 computer or just shut down, wait for a few minutes and start again. Rebooting Windows allows the apps to clear the data and they start afresh.

The above steps will fix the apps not working in Windows 10 problem. Most of the apps problems are specific, and they do not occur system wide. You can solve this problem by addressing the faulty app. But in case the problem is system wide, you must execute the commands in the powershell as shown in the steps above. If you still face the problem, feel free to comment on this post with the details of the error/problem and we will get back to you with another solution.

Have you installed Windows 10 and noticed that your system is booting slow? You are not alone. A lot of users have reported Windows 10 slow boot problem. Slow boot issue has been a perennial problem for the Windows users in almost all the Windows OS versions. All we want is a system which could boot fast, but our simple wish seems far from reality up till now. Apple clearly dwarfs Windows platform in this area; Apple users don’t have to wait for the boot process. But you don’t have to worry anymore because with some simple tips and tricks listed in this article, you can fix Windows 10 slow boot problem. You can make Windows 10 boot faster by applying the steps mentioned below. Remember that the overall performance largely depends upon the specs of your computer, the hard drive technology, RAM and other system aspects. But this article will target the general, software related aspect of Windows 10 in order to solve the slow boot problem. Let’s get started.

Fix Windows 10 Slow Boot Problems: Make Windows 10 Boot Fast

Tweak Startup Programs

Perhaps the primary culprit behind Windows 10 slow boot problem is the startup program queue. We install apps, software and programs in our PCs. Most of them have built-in settings, which force-start them as soon as we boot our computers. Now, as long as all the startup programs aren’t loaded, the boot process will not get completed, ultimately slowing down your system. You must remove all the unnecessary startup programs from the boot order in the startup manager of Windows 10. Only those programs should be allowed in the startup process which have to deal with computer’s basic services, security, resolution and basic operations. I would suggest removing all the third party software from the startup manager. This would not affect any of your operations. You can always open and launch the programs manually.

  • Right click on the task bar and click Task Manager. You can also press CTRL+Shift+Esc key combination to open the task manager.

  • You will see a list of running programs. Ignore it and click “More Details”.

fix windows 10 slow boot problem

  • Now click the “Startup” tab as shown in the image below.

fix windows 10 slow boot problem

You will see a list of programs. In the left most column, the name of those programs and apps are written which are loaded when you boot your system. You can see the “impact” of this program on the startup speed in the “startup impact” column. In my case, the program utorrent is killing the speed of by startup process. If I remove this from the startup queue, I could easily fix Windows 10 slow boot problem. So let’s do this.

  • Right click on the program you want to remove from the startup process and click “Disable”.

Disabling means that this program will no longer be loaded when you turn your machine ON. Instead, you will have to manually start this software. You can disable all those programs which do not need to be loaded at the startup. Services like battery management, light control, system files, antivirus, Skype should not be disabled in most of the cases.

Change How Your System is Shutdown

One of the best ways to fix Windows 10 slow boot problem is to create a manual shutdown service. Strange as it may seem but Windows 10 has a real startup order problem. You will notice that when you shutdown the system and reboot normally, the reboot time will be much larger. On the other hand, shutting down using the manual services quells reboot time.

  • Go to control panel in Windows 10.
  • Go to “Choose what power buttons do” section.

fix windows 10 slow boot problem

  • Scroll down and make sure that the “Turn on fast startup” option is enabled as shown in the image.

fix windows 10 slow boot problem

  • Now come back to the desktop and make a new “Shortcut”.

fix windows 10 slow boot problem 5

  • Type “%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -hybrid -f -t 00” in the location and save it with any name like “quick shutdown” or “manual shutdown”. It’s your choice.
  • Now, always use this shortcut to shutdown your computer. You will notice that this would fix Windows 10 slow boot problem.
  • Another way to make the Windows 10 boot process fast is to change the settings of services.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Open Run and type “services.msc” and hit Enter.
  • Now notice which services are taking more time to launch. You can right click on the services, open them, and change their setting from default to delayed start. Save the settings and reboot your computer.

After following the above methods, you will be able to fix Windows 10 slow boot problem. Your computer will boot, restart a lot faster than before.
