How to Disable Connect Tab in Apple Music in iPhone, Mac, Windows to Save Battery and Get Most Songs in Playlists

Apple Music comes with a lot of options and features. While most of them are useful, some of the newly launch tabs are clutter and have no use. When you enable Apple Music in your iPhone, you will notice that among other tabs, there will be an activated tab named “Connect”. This tab is added to let the Apple Music users stay updated with the feeds and updates of the artists. So if an artist shares his plans about an upcoming song or album, you will see that in Apple Connect. But this feature is far from being useful to be included permanently in the already closed Apple Music interface. You can put some useful playlists in place of it. Here’s how to remove Apple Connect tab from Apple Music service in your iPhone.

Disable Connect Tab in Apple Music

Launch Settings in your iPhone.

Tap “General” and then open “Restrictions”.

You will be asked to enter your passcode. If you find Restrictions tab grayed out, you will have to enable it first from the top.

Disable Connect Tab of Apple Music in Mac and Windows

If you listen to Apple Music in your Mac and Windows PC via iTunes, you can disable Apple Music Connect tab there too. Here’s how.

Open iTunes (make sure it’s updated to the latest version).

Now open the Settings menu. You can do this by going to Edit->Preferences menu in Windows; and by going to Preferences in OS X.

In iTunes’ Preferences window, click on the Parental tab.

You will see a box next to Apple Music Connect under the Disable section, check it.

Click OK to save the changes.

Removing Apple Music connect could also solve the battery drain issue, as it remains constantly connected to stream and imbibes the battery power.

Apple Music Connect tab jumbles up the playlists and library tabs. Removing Apple Music Connect could make everything simple and intuitive.

If you face any problem while following the process above, feel free to comment.
